A local man plans on renting an expensive car to drive around Inishannon to fool people into thinking he’s the winner!has not yet revealed themselves and may not even know about their life-changing victory.
The winning ticket, a QuickPick, was sold in Centra in the village of Inishannon in Cork on the day of the draw on Saturday , so if you’re from the village or just happened to be passing through and bought a ticket, be sure to give it another look.
“However, it is still early days in terms of the winner making contact. This person or people have 90 days to claim the prize from the date of the draw so I’m sure we will hear something from this lucky ticketholder sooner rather than later.” The village of Inishannon is, not surprisingly, abuzz with news of the big win, leading to plenty of speculation about the identity of Ireland’s newest millionaire, if indeed, it was purchased by an individual and not a syndicate.“Speculation is rife… and one local customer said he is going to play a prank and rent an expensive car for a few days and drive it around Inishannon so everyone will think it is him who has won!” said the owner of the Centra store, Barry O’Sullivan.
, meanwhile, O’Sullivan also revealed that the store received €15,000 from The National Lottery for selling the winning ticket, a sum that will be distributed amongst the store’s staff, which includes students working part-time."You’ve got to work for it" - Tiger Ireland founders on making your own luck
