Top model Thalia Heffernan was driven out of her native Dublin due to harsh renting and buying conditions.
Thalia told the Irish Sunday Mirror: “We struggled to find anywhere to rent with our dogs in Dublin. The city I have lived in, grew up in and I call home has pushed me out.As one of Ireland’s busiest models, a move to Co Armagh could have ruined her career but Thalia was relieved to find she is able to continue working.
An average three-bed semi in the capital will set you back €367,500 – rising to €533,000 in some leafy south Dublin suburbs – compared to €103,543 in Leitrim and €302,000 in Kildare. So so sad that attractive young ladies can be affected by all this. Families, the Elderly etc don’t really matter - who actually cares what happens to them But when it causes difficulty for an aspiring model, well, it really makes you stop & think 🤔
