Hope for Brexit deal as Taoiseach says Brussels negotiations are 'moving in the right direction'

Leo Varadkar believes we are “moving in the right direction” in the dash for a Brexit deal.

“The prime minister said to me that if we could come to an agreement between the EU and the U.K., that he was confident that he would be able to get it through the House of Commons.” While at the same time, the UK’s men in Brussels will be relaying what they have back to London after going to the brink last night in offering their compromise.

But there was optimism in Europe late last night that there can be a deal, if not by the end of the Summit on Friday, then by the last ditch Brexit deadline of Halloween in a fortnight’s time.
