Storm Dennis: 14,000 without power as gusts of up to 120km/h batter the country

AROUND 14,000 HOMES and businesses are without power this afternoon as Storm Dennis sweeps across the country.

Elsewhere in the country, Status Yellow wind warning is currently in place. It will remain in place until 11pm today.These outages have mainly been caused by lightning damage. The effects of Storm Dennis will continue today. It will be very windy everywhere with strong&very gusty SW winds. It will be stormy at times near W&N coasts with gales&severe/damaging gusts.
