Ronan Collins sees his grandkids more than he saw his kids growing up

Ronan Collins has said he sees more of his grandkids now than he did of his kids when they were growing up, because his work schedule was so hectic in the 1980s.

He told RSVP Live: "Caleb and Ezra are my daughter Lisa's kids. I see more of them than I probably saw of my own kids when they were that age. And that time I was radio, TV, doing live gigs four or five nights a week. "I left the house at quarter past five in the morning and I might not have been home until all hours if I had a live gig. I was lucky that my wife made sure that I saw plenty of the kids and we had a pretty good relationship, we certainly have a great relationship now.Ronan's daughter Lisa is a psychologist as well as a mum of two, and his son Damian is an entrepreneur living in Dubai.
