For the past 20 years, Belzer lived mostly in France, in homes he bought partially from the proceeds of a lawsuit with Hulk Hogan.

RICHARD BELZER, THE veteran stand-up comedian who became one of TV’s most indelible detectives as John Munch in Homicide: Life On The Street and Law & Order: SVU has died aged 78.Scheft, a writer who had been working on a documentary about Belzer, said there was no known cause of death but Belzer had been dealing with circulatory and respiratory issues.

“I would never be a detective. But if I were, that’s how I’d be,” Belzer once said. “They write to all my paranoia and anti-establishment dissidence and conspiracy theories. So it’s been a lot of fun for me. A dream, really.” Highs and Lows… After one of the most amazing weeks of my life. I wake up to the news I lost my friend today. Belz is gone.. Damn it! But remember this..’When you ARE having real fun and are Truly Happy. ENJOY it to the fullest! Cause Pain is inevitably coming.’ I’ll miss you… https://t.co/WmaHvj629b pic.twitter.com/Fca9qiaDLV“My kitchen was the toughest room I ever worked,” Belzer told People magazine in 1993.

Belzer would later write an irreverent self-help book titled How To Be A Stand-Up Comic with advice on things like how to to apologise to Frank Sinatra when you made fun of him onstage or how to deal with hecklers.

Bet they won’t name their advisors in a hurry. Wonder if it’s a tax compliant NGO or wot? The LGFA will be bankrupt in a few years with the legal payouts from this idiotic ideological decision. They should drop the L from their name as they have sold out women and girls safety to accommodate some men with a mental health condition. jaysus

ESB says ‘onerous’ ethics law reforms a turn-off for top talentThe ESB has warned the government that planned reforms of ethics laws for people in publicly funded roles are “unduly onerous” and would limit its ability to retain and attract top staff. Are they taking the piss? The staff they have at the moment are far from ‘top staff’. Having done ethics in place can only improve things in the most overpaid state body in Ireland.

UK govt to progress Dáithí's organ donation lawThe UK government is to progress an organ donation law championed by a six-year-old Belfast boy who needs a heart transplant. Sorry, this is dangerous and wrong. Access to our organs should be opt in only. We shouldn't have to tell the state we don't want to be harvested after death. The data bears out that this is ethically incoherent. Another encroachment on body sovereignty The media uses the kid as part of the sell. Nazis did it with girls and women. The State is getting closer to killing you if you become a burden. You think that's a joke? Remember the day you read it. God bless the Boy, if only i had the funds.
