Rescue operation after two people get into difficulty in Blackrock, Co Louth

The incident took place at Priest's Beach in the Co Lough village of Blackrock and the alarm was raised after 1pm.The helicopter landed in Blackrock village at around 2pm to help the people in difficulty and the pair have now been rescued.

The two who got into difficulty are expected to make a full recovery, talk of the town reports.The gardai and RNLI have been contacted for comment.Fianna Fail councillor Conor Keelan said: "If anybody got into difficulty, I hope they are safe and well.""Hope everyone is ok."
