Police chase ostriches through streets in Canada

A video posted to social media showed a police vehicle chasing down one ostrich, as the bird's owner tried to catch it from the window.

Oh dear. I don't suppose local police training covered handling of ostriches but grabbing their necks while running at speed seems like inviting an injury (to either party) and surely someone told them to stop it?
