If politicians from Fianna Fail and Fine Gael are wondering why they have been hammered in the polls they need look no further than a survey released last week.
This is hardly surprising because their respective parties are largely responsible for undermining the trust in public and private institutions. At one time there were 23 different inquiries or investigations taking place in the gardai but they appear to have run into the ground. And would you trust your child with Tusla, which is now facing no less than three statutory inquiries into its handling of data involving youngsters.
