Outside of applications from the island of Ireland and from Great Britain, the highest number of online applications came from the USA, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, France, Spain, Germany and South Africa.
Micheál Martin, Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs, said the service saw “extraordinary volumes” of applications received and passports issued. “The Passport Service received over 1.15 million passport applications in 2022 and is set to issue just under 1.1 million passports by the end of the year. Over 99 per cent of all online renewal applications and paper applications are issued within the standard turnaround times.”
The Tánaiste thanked the staff in the passport service who he said responded to the challenges by “demonstrating great diligence and resilience”.
The native indigenous irish are being fucked without even using lube ? 🥴ouch !!!!
You know why don’t you?
LOL XDDD HAHAHAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA CONSPIRACY THEORY BTW
I got my passport in a week. That was great considering it’s Xmas.
And my daughter was one of the recipients
Only people born in Ireland 🇮🇪 should have an Irish Passport
Alot of Ukrainians alright... Lol
It won't be long before there are more non-nationals with Irish passports than Irish people.
Any breakdown on countries of origin of these 1 million 'new Irish'? Surely we've exceeded an upper limit for new passports that should be issued per year Which, if exceeded, can destabilise the economy, services, cohesion of a country Dangerous social engineering going on here
Stop giving the passports to British even without living here.
I'm getting mine next yr.
To who I wonder and why?
this is wonderful so amny new Irish I am working on getting a new passport as in the past they waved Irish though unless you were on an IRA watch list, i think with in the next few year we will be flagged as high risk country
An Irish passport will be worth nothing in a few short years at the rate they are giving them out- Sur everyone is suddenly Irish once they have the passport except they’re not!
So it's 1 million votes for FF/GG then.
Giving away Irish passports just another crazy FF/FG approach. Why not link passports issued to homes built. See what happens then..
We'll get into the Guinness book of records so. Beyond that, nobody really thought it through. Let's just hope the tech bubble corp tax doesn't dry up.
Irish citizenship used to mean something
