Nine climbers, led by mountaineer Noel Hanna, who was part of Mr Lawless's original climbing group, will begin a search operation later this evening, according to reports in the Himalayan Times.
The owner of Seven Summit Treks which organised Mr Lawless's expedition, said eight high-altitude sherpa climbers, including Temba Bhote, who ascended the mountain last week would also be involved in the search.Mr Sherpa said that both me were aware of the location in the treacherous 'balcony' area from where Mr Lawless fell.Searching has been hampered by poor weather and this is the first formal attempt to return to the area in which the 39-year-old fell.
My sympathies to the family but is there not something incongruous about spending €750k on a dangerous mission to recover the body of someone who went to the Himalayas to raise €25k for a charity?

RIP
Nine climbers on a mission of no return.Sending a rescue party to one of the most dangerous places on earth is a stupid fucking idea.
