The Minister for Foreign Affairs is to raise the issue of Russia engaging in military exercises off Irish waters with the Russian Ambassador to Ireland, Yury Filatov.
In a statement, the IAA said the safety of Irish airspace will not be compromised by the Russian navy artillery test. She said that while a 2015 White Paper recognised that radar surveillance is a priority, there has been "no meaningful action by government since then to deliver on it". Dr Tom Clonan described Ireland as being a "weak link" in Europe when it comes to security and defence.

I'd be much more concerned about British military exercises which take place in our waters airspace and land daily, then there is also the matter of British state sponsored murder of Irish citizens which has went on for decades......

Our Minister for Foreign Affairs should extend an official invitation to the Russian Navy to make a courtesy call to Cork harbour, if the US military can have unfettered access to Shannon airport, it would be a nice way of asserting our supposed military neutrality!
