“I’m confident that we will be able not just to leave the EU on 31 January, but also to conclude all the details of a new relationship in short order,” Gove said today. “We will not get everything done in 11 months. We will do all we can – we won’t do it all,” Barnier said in a recording obtained by the Independent newspaper.

I'm choosing to be encouraged by this Govian view of Brexit talks. Reason suggests that the only way it can be done by then is by staying closely aligned. But reason and Gove and Boris....? There is much to fear.
