Met Eireann’s forecast over the next few days will see Storm Barra batter the entire country with rain, hail, snow, and gale-force winds.
Certain parts of the country are due to bear the brunt of the grim conditions at different parts of the week.As for tonight, it will start off cold with frost developing over the eastern half of the country. Monday will be very windy and possibly stormy in parts of the country, with some wintry falls possible at times too.
Lowest temperatures will range from 0 to 4 degrees, “but will become milder with the arrival of the rain, while light variable winds become southeasterly and increase fresh to strong and gusty by morning.” “Some of the showers will bring the chance of isolated thunderstorms, hail and sleet, heaviest and most frequent in the north and west.
