The Sinn Féin leader has said that she had not made a unity referendum a red line for entering government

The Sinn Féin leader has said she that she will ask MLA Conor Murphy to speak to the mother of Paul Quinn to clarify remarks he made about her son and links to criminality. However, she said she believed the best thing to do now was for Mr Murphy "to speak to Breege and the family".He was lured to sheds at Tullyvanus, Castleblaney, Co Monaghan where he was attacked by a group of eight to ten men.

Speaking later during an interview with Bryan Dobson on RTÉ One, Ms McDonald said the only criminals were the ones who took Mr Quinn's life. Detectives investigating the murder have made 23 arrests in the past 12 years, 14 in the Republic and nine in Northern Ireland. She said in the event of a United Ireland, the £12bn subvention paid to Northern Ireland would have to be negotiated with Britain, as "they're not going to walk off the pitch scot-free".

She doesn't make the red lines the backroom boys do

The Irish government has no say in a unity referendum it is entirely the remit of the British Secretary of State.

Well AontuIE launched a United Ireland policy today so why not vote AontuIE 1.

For what reason would the UK be expected to continue to subsidize a unified NI ? On the contrary I would expect a unified Ireland to have to take on NI's share of the UK national debt.

Mary is already on record saying that the people in the south wouldn’t mind paying extra taxes to fund the oversized civil service in the north, roughly 12 billion PA

Brian Dobson was awful. She never got to completely answer the questions she asked. Referencing the north is a low blow because of British rule. Rte need to change. Either close down or do a complete overhaul of management. They should be ashamed of their conduct

Sinn Fein are not gonna get into power. They're just not, Green's are the same. This is an FF/FG race. As always.
