Man killed in Walshestown shooting named locally

Mr Little's remains were discovered beside a burning car at Rowans Little, Walshestown, Balbriggan last night.It is understood that Mr Little, who was found beside the car, was shot once in the head and once in the chest.The scene remains sealed off, with a press briefing due to take place this afternoon.

A garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí and emergency services were alerted to a car on fire at the above location and discovered a male with apparent gunshot wounds beside the car.
