The man previously collided with a Garda car while attempting to flee the scene of arrest

in 2018.

A 28-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of being involved in numerous burglary offences in Cork and Waterford during a 10-day period in May 2018. On 11 May 2018, following a number of burglaries in the southern region over the previous 10 days, a Garda operation was implemented in an attempt to intercept and arrest the man in question. He fled the scene in a car and collided with two occupied vehicles, one of which was a Garda vehicle. No injuries were reported during the incident.
