Leo Varadkar said it was job done last night – and now it’s over to Boris Johnson to keep his side of the bargain.

“Citizens rights are protected – those European citizens living in the UK and also UK citizens living in the European Union. as it had been replaced with a new solution delivering the same goals. Arlene Foster’s party lost out on a number of key demands in the new deal. A senior source close to the talks said last night they were against a simple Stormont majority being the basis for opting out of the new Brexit arrangements in the future.A party spokesman said: “Following confirmation from the Prime Minister that he believes he has secured a ‘great new deal’ with the European Union, the Democratic Unionist Party will be unable to support these proposals in Parliament.

“And also crucially we were happy to accept this. It takes account of the democratic wishes of the people of Northern Ireland.
