Jamie Carragher feels there was little between the Liverpool and Man Utd sides that battled it out for the title in the 2008/09 season, but believes two things cost his side over the course of the campaign.Manager Rafa Benitez even led the Merseyside club to an impressive double over their rivals, including a 4-1 beating at Old Trafford, but could not pip Sir Alex Ferguson's side to top spot.
"That was tough for our team and tough for Rafa Benitez but sometimes as a manager you have to be in the right place at the right time. He also says Benitez did a "great job in difficult circumstances at times," with reference to working under Liverpool's controversial former owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett.
