After a turbulent day of negotiations in Brussels and politics in Westminster, it is understood a deal that EU leaders can sign up to tomorrow is now within reach.

"The prime minister gave an update to cabinet on the progress in the ongoing Brexit talks. He said there was a chance of securing a good deal but we are not there yet, and there remain outstanding issues," the spokesman said. — Tony Connelly October 16, 2019 A senior EU source says a deal is still possible today, but much depends on what is happening in London.

However, a new mechanism will therefore need to be created for trade between Britain and Northern Ireland, as the UK will have its own VAT rules. It was also reported that there were differences over "level playing-field" measures. Brexit

No they haven't.. DUP not happy ..as ever RTE jumping to conclusion !!!

What total nonsense. Nothing has been resolved. Has the EU dropped its ransom demand for £39bn? Will Britain regain control of its fisheries? Of course not.

Thank god

But will it pass a vote in the House of Commons. Doubt it
