Irish supporters buzzing as 100,000 rugby fans head to Japan's second largest city Yokohama

More than 100,000 rugby fans, including Ireland supporters, will descend upon Japan’s second largest city this weekend.And later on Saturday the most anticipated clash of the pool stages will be played - holders New Zealand against Rugby Championship winners South Africa.

Declan, who has been in Australia for the past 15 years having previously lived in New Zealand and London, said: “You just take the opportunity to come. Wicklow native Pat Sullivan, another Australia-based expat, had a ticket for the Ireland-Scotland game but was also trying to get into the tournament opener.

“My dad and I went to the quarters last time and were so disappointed with the slow start against Argentina. But we still went to the semi-final in London.
