Harry Maguire makes decision between Man Utd and Man City - £65m transfer close

Manchester City are poised to beat local rivals Manchester United to the £65million capture of Harry Maguire this summer.

City boss Guardiola wants a centre-back to replace Vincent Kompany and sees Maguire as the perfect replacement for his legendary former skipper, who left at the end of the season. The move would make Maguire City's record signing, eclipsing the £60m the Blues paid Leicester for his former team-mate, Riyad Mahrez, last summer.

Despite making it back-to-back Premier League triumphs with last season's epic title win over Liverpool , City are determined to make themselves even stronger by moving early in the transfer market.
