GHISLAINE MAXWELL HAS been sentenced to 20 years in prison by a US judge today for helping the late disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein sexually abuse girls.
Damian Williams, the US attorney for the Southern District of New York, said that the sentence “holds Ghislaine Maxwell accountable for perpetrating heinous crimes against children”. They called for Judge Nathan to hand down a sentence less than the US probation office’s recommended 20 years.Meanwhile prosecutors had asked that Maxwell receive between 30 and 55 years in jail, arguing that she has shown an “utter lack of remorse” for her crimes, committed between 1994 and 2004.
Two of Epstein’s victims, identified as “Jane” and “Carolyn,” testified that they were as young as 14 when Maxwell began grooming them. Money manager Epstein killed himself in prison 2019 aged 66 while awaiting his own sex crimes trial in New York. #Open journalism No news is bad news Support The Journal Your contributions will help us continue to deliver the stories that are important to you“She made the choice to conspire with Epstein for years, working as partners in crime and causing devastating harm to vulnerable victims,” wrote Damian Williams, the US attorney for the Southern District of New York.

Man jailed after Kilkenny mobile home fire killingA 35-year-old man has been jailed for 11 years for killing a man by setting fire to his mobile home in Co Kilkenny almost 16 years ago. 196 previous convictions and then for burning a guy to death he gets... 11 years. You suck, Ireland. “The judge said he also took into account Kelly's age when the offence was carried out and his difficult upbringing in which there was a considerable level of drug and alcohol abuse in his family.” There’s always an excuse 🙄 196 convictions & never done any hard time. What a joke of a justice system. That poor man would still be alive if that little c*nt was in a cell where he belonged. You should not be able to rake up multiple convictions without punishment.
