Gardai rush to the scene as body found following house fire in Co Donegal

Gardai and emergency services rushed to the scene after their received reports of a house fire in Glenties, Co Donegal, shortly after midnight on Wednesday.The scene remains preserved and the Coroner has been notified, with a file due to be prepared for the Coroner’s Court.A garda spokesperson said: "Shortly after midnight on Wednesday, 9th March 2022 Gardaí were alerted following reports of a house fire in Glenties, Co. Donegal.

"Fire services extinguished the fire and suspected human remains were located inside the property. At this time, Gardaí are treating the incident as a tragic accident. "The scene remains preserved and the Coroner has been notified.
