Facebook Ireland has postponed the roll-out of a new dating feature on its platform in the European Union, which had been due to start tomorrow.

A statement from the Data Protection Commission said the watchdog had been "very concerned" that it had not been told about the new feature until 3 February. The watchdog said Facebook Ireland had told it last night about the postponement of the roll-out of the dating feature, which was launched in the United States in September.
