Changing brand or pattern could mean more tyre noise and affect handling.Generally it's good practice to fit the best/newest tyres on the rear – in wet conditions, this favours understeer rather than oversteer.
Tyres with deep tread are less likely to puncture and it's more difficult to control a car with a damaged rear tyre.Tyres must be compatible with others on the car and generally in good physical condition and must be correctly inflated to the vehicle manufacturer's recommended pressure
I currently use a set of Michelin Cross Climate 2 on my Skoda Yeti 4x4 and I find them excellent.I had originally planned to use them as a winter tyre,but with the cost of Diesel very high,all year, I decided to leave them on
