The Colombian international defender has suffered a torn thigh muscle and will now miss the Premier League's return to action later this month

The Everton defender is expected to be sidelined for a number of weeks.It is another injury blow to the Toffees, before the resumption of the Premier League season.

However, Mina will now join Jean-Philippe Gbamin on the treatment table after suffering a muscle injury in training last week. "A scan confirmed the Colombia international suffered a partial tear in his left quad muscle during training last week. Gbamin will undergo surgery this week and the club expects the Ivory Coast international to require an "extensive period of rehabilitation".
