“It is important that patients with medical conditions other than non-Covid-19 are assessed by their GP,” he said today. Related Read 26.03.20 Opinion: This current crisis is calling for the emergence of a bolder, braver and kinder humanity
I got an antibiotics for a kidney infection and the strain hasn't worked. Now the pain's worse but I don't have money (not able to work cause of the virus) to go back and even if I did, I don't want to overwhelm the local GP's office 😬
people who need attention besides covid-19 are avoiding any medical premises. House calls are having to be done & phone-calls chasing them up. Fear Ione has that some of these patients will put off reaching out in this crisis. Media need to be aware there are other probs too.
I can attest, though it's not simply fear of the virus. It's stigma and shame. GPs here treat many with chronic ill health as basket cases and burdens, *at the best of times*. God help anyone who falls outside the mainstream categories of illness in this country.
Yup! Can completely relate! 😥😥❤️💋🦄🌈💕♿️
