There have been no further deaths from Covid-19 while four deaths have been de-notified, bringing the death toll here to 1,738.

There have been four new confirmed cases, taking the cumulative total to 5,765, while for the 12th successive day there are no Covid-19 patients being treated in ICU. Acting Chief Medical Officer Dr Ronan Glynn said yesterday: "This is one more example of the solidarity and collective spirit that has characterised the Irish public's response to Covid-19 to date.
