Lord Sumption: 'Fear has always been the most potent instrument of the authoritarian state. Fear promotes intolerant conformism and provokes abuse at anyone who steps out of Government’s line. These are the authentic ingredients of a totalitarian society.“

Stop your relentless propoganda of fear mongering & manipulation. You ignore science, common sense and proportionality. You are complicit in perpetrating crimes against humanity and I hope that you will be brought to account and dissolved. You bring shame on yourselves

Yes, I am sure, Tony is confident of cases coming down. Especially when they are lowering the PCR amplification cycle threshold. The whole thing is an illusion, just like the illusion that the public being awarded with flattening the curve by agreeing to go into lockdown. Genius

When will those bloody contract tracers call !

How long do asymptomatic carriers remain infectious? Does this vary by age ie shorter for 5 year olds than for 15 year olds? Schools should not reopen if asymptomatics are still infectious.

Weird how I'm not privy to the 'data NPHET is looking at,' and yet I also don't anticipate NPHET advising school closures.

I admire the government attempting to keep educating the youth but the processes are currently sketchy at best it appears. Look last week at the sanitiser fiasco. Bubbles in most schools don’t exist as schools are cut staff. Lockdown2 schoolsreopening

I get you know !

That's because the virus clearly isn't as deadly as feared. A non event for Children and They were never super spreaders. Median age of death higher than life expectancy and 94% of victims had underlying health issues. We are stuck in this until They admit it. Won't happen!

'significant suppression of this virus over the coming weeks', no shit sherlock, that's due to restrictions. Once they lift the restrictions the same merry go round happens again. What is the actual exit plan? Fact is there is none, this lockdown/reopen is the plan until June!

Interesting

Yes obviously childcare I mean schools will stay open, this isn't even a lockdown, who in god's name is going to mind the children if schools close, have you seen the traffic on the roads? Construction is open this time, Argos is open this time, Smyth's is open this time.

I don't know why the media keep on going with this angle.... they simply won't close the schools....the dog on the street knows it.

CLOSE THE SCHOOLS!

Are people still listening to this clownshoe? CMOIreland

1st lockdown he said it takes time to see a change, hence the 6weeks. In Oct it went to level 3 (Should take 6weeks to see a change) after a week & half of level 3 he demands a change to level 5. Now we will see a significant change in the coming weeks.. Shifting the goal posts🤦‍♂️

Confident of suppression in the coming weeks ? Didn’t he mean “depression” ?

Very robust indeed !

The coming weeks are crucial isn't that right

We are lucky to have him !

😂😂😂😂

Is the drop in cases due to no testing of samples over the bank holiday weekend due to staffing problem's🤔

Lockdowns don't work!

So if there down this week does that not mean the number were dropping from 2 weeks ago? So lockdown hasn't affected the drop in 'casses' 🤔

What's the point then ?

No, that's because level 3 is having an impact, nool need to be in level 5,

Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah and blah

CMOIreland Level 5 is Definitely having an impact but its a negative impact

Where's luke . Hopes he's OK

Pity Tony and nphet didn't wait. Obviously l3 starting to work.

This proves that level 3 was working and we basically threw away €85.6 million unnecessarily on the PUP when we could have put it into the health system instead. . In other words approx 380,000 lost their jobs for no reason apart from bad leadership

Nice to see it’s working

It must be exhausting to keep up this charade. Anyone with Their head screwed on can see this virus poses the same threat to humanity as the flu.

Stop your relentless propoganda of fear mongering & manipulation. You ignore science, common sense and proportionality. You are complicit in perpetrating crimes against humanity and I hope that you will be brought to account and dissolved. You bring shame on yourselves

Incoming anti lockdown, anti government, that guy who keeps saying close random things, YouTube videos, random graphs and my favourite liam saying close the schools I really wonder what he will do on the midterm when the schools are closed

Approximately 30,000 people die in Ireland every year. Maybe you should report on every single one of them in detail.

It’s dropping. Hopefully bars and restaurants will be open soon.

'Related' deaths ? Never explained

Coronavirus: Five deaths and 720 new cases of Covid-19 confirmed in IrelandFive deaths and 720 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Ireland this evening Tony says “NO” Only a drop because tests weren't being processed over the long weekend , numbers over the next few days should be interesting 🤔 It looks great on the outside looking in that numbers have dropped but is this due to testing being stop over the BH weekend? I hope it's because of the level 3 and now level 5 and they continue to drop..
