'I specifically asked for no mayo and that was the only thing I got'

A young couple who spent their last few quid on a treat from a popular fast food chain were shocked to receive a "rock hard" burger with no toppings.

Ryan, 32, had just £20.21 left in his bank account but decided to splash out, spending all his cash on the special meal - including delivery from a KFC store on Upper Borough Walls, Somerset Live reports. The Uber Eats driver allegedly struggled to find their address, so the couple went out to meet them. By this time, both men were ravenous and eager to unwrap their KFC goodies. The "beautiful, golden burger" he had ordered was nowhere to be seen and in its place was a strange "lump of pinkish chicken".His partner added: "It was surrounded by chargrilled fat and there was no lettuce, no salad.

The pair went straight to KFC with their complaint but were told to go through Uber Eats. A few hours later, they received an email from Uber Eats to say a refund of £7.99 would arrive within three working days.
