Father-of-two Stephen shared the incredible birth story of his newborn son Conor who arrived last Sunday, 23 January, in the back of his car on their way to the hospital

The couple were on their way to the hospital when she announced that they weren’t going to make it in time.Their son weighed in at 6lbs 13oz with his dad, Stephen, describing him as “perfect” with “all fingers and toes”.He told The Neil Prendeville Show on Red FM about the incredible experience, saying: “[The contractions] were on and off from Friday and there were good gaps of three to four hours in between, so we weren’t too worried.

“But from one o’clock Sunday, they really picked up.” Vicky was in the bathtub using a TENS machine which sends out mild electric pulses for pain relief.Stephen explained that at 5.30pm they rang the hospital to let them know they were coming in.“We got her out of the bath, dressed and down the stairs and things really started ramping up more and more.
