With negotiations under way to form the government of the 33rd Dáil, attention has moved away from last Saturday's general election.
The PosterFree campaign started last year around the local elections, with 160 towns and villages taking part. The erection - and removal - of election posters is covered by legislation that dictates when they can be put up, where they can be put up and also when they come down. Some candidates in the 2020 election jumped the gun and had their posters up before Taoiseach Leo Varadkar had even formally announced he was seeking the dissolution of the Dáil - including Mr Varadkar himself!
RTE_PrimeTime shoukd follow it up to see if anyone gets fined and if they do get fined do they ever pay. They don't pay their Dail bar bills why would they pay a fine?
Why are RTE journalists acting more like cheerleaders for Sinn Fein rather than asking them hard questions? Here's one they could ask. Does Mary Loo think that prospective coalition partners were attracted or repelled by shouts of Up the RA! and Tiocfaidh ar La by SF morons?
Glad I don't live on that street. Unbelievable amount of posters
Why can't they just advertise online like everyone else
It’s a stalemate SF don’t have the numbers of a left wing coalition, and FF/FG won’t be able to convince enough parties to join them in coalition either 🤦♂️🗳🇮🇪 another GE2020 anyone?
Won't be long before they're back up 👍
And the cable-ties!
