The former world No 1 was declared bankrupt on June 21, 2017 - owing creditors almost £50 million. The debt related to an unpaid loan of more than £3 million on his estate in Majorca.
Becker, who has lived in the UK since 2012, was expected to serve half of his sentence, but was sensationally released on Thursday morning. He is now due to board a flight to be deported from the UK. Becker, who won six Grand Slam titles overall, qualifies for automatic deportation because he is a foreign national who does not have British citizenship - and received a custodial sentence of more than 12 months.

I had the same experience a few months ago. I was due to fly to Chisinau,Moldova and the airline redirected my flight to Iasi,Romania,2.5 hours away. I ended up losing my money and wasn’t allowed get a refund. Complete joke. Surely the airline is under contract to transport her and her family from and to the places mentioned on their tickets!! Or at least make it clear in advance that the plan is to abandon them without support or information in a totally different city two hours away...
