Bord Gáis Energy, the privately-owned energy company, recorded double-digit growth in sales and profits for 2022, according to new accounts filed by its parent company Centrica.

Full year revenues for the company surged almost 60 per cent during the year to a record €2 billion , reflecting the spike in natural gas and electricity prices last year due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the subsequent volatility in wholesale energy markets.
