Now we're suckin' diesel!

This season runs seven episodes long, instead of six.

We now have an official date for one of TV's most anticipated premieres of the year as BBC One have confirmed Line of Duty Season 6's first episode will air on 21 March. The channel confirmed the news about the copper crime drama in a brief but tense teaser posted to their Twitter account. It sees Adrian Dunbar's character Superintendent Ted Hastings stating over a megaphone:"You'll be treated fairly with the full protection of the law.

We then see him and Martin Compton's DS Steve Arnott in what appears to be a standoff with Vicky McClure's DI Kate Fleming and a new character played by Kelly MacDonald of Boardwalk Empire and Trainspotting fame.
