Australia considers public inquiry into bushfires as death toll rises

While bushfires are common in Australia’s arid summers, climate change has pushed up land and sea temperatures and led to more extremely hot days and severe fire seasons. The prime minister – a supporter of fossil fuel industries – said emissions targets would “evolve” but ruled out curbing Australia’s vast exports of coal.

Morrison will fudge the terms of reference to blame everything except climate change for the disaster from which we are now just beginning to emerge.

Good - This will be a sequel to the commission following 2009 bushfires .Among the many recommendations was increasing preventative back burning times x 4 .They didn't . Also, Australia has a big arson problem.

The country has been burning for theee months and he’s “considering a public enquiry”’ 🤔
