The variant has not yet been identified in Ireland but the HSE today updated its strict advice to include arrivals from South America. As of the weekend, anyone travelling into this country is required to have a negative Covid-19 test that was taken up to 72 hours prior to departure. How many people who arrived here after the 20 Dec actually isolated for the minimum of 5 days before going to see Gran on Xmas day? Don't worry, there's no stats to show how selfish they were. And there'll be nothing done to anyone from these countries who doesn't bother either.

'Sure it's just little old me coming home, what harm could that do' said 50,000 Irish people who came home for Christmas. There's no checking of tests once you're in, no enforcement and no consequences.

Pretty sure you can buy those down the market 10p each
