Appeal over deaths of mother and two children in Dublin

The bodies of 37-year-old Seema Banu, her 11-year-old daughter Asfira Syed and six-year-old son Faizan Syed were discovered by gardaí in a house in Lewellyn Court in Rathfarnham just before midday yesterday.

"Faizan Syed was in First Class and his sister Asfira was in Sixth Class. They will both be greatly missed by all who knew them."The Indian Ambassador to Ireland said the woman's family were in a state of "disbelief and disorientation" about what had happened to them. He said he would continue to liase with the family here and in India and give the support needed to return the bodies to India "in a dignified manner".

Officers have been in contact with the woman's partner and father of the children who is distressed and has been given access to medical treatment.

Disgusting, RTE staff (ryan Tubridy) saying the kids should still be alive and watching the toy show. RTE should be ashamed. So insensitive, they might not even be christian, they dont need that kind of comment. Trying to promote the toy show off their deaths. Disgusting.
