From September, all first-year students will study history as part of the Junior Cycle

These students will follow the existing Junior Cycle history specification, which requires a minimum of 200 hours of learning. There has been much debate about the status of History in schools in the last year, with many people arguing it such be a compulsory subject.Last October, McHugh requested that history be given “special core status” in the Junior Cycle school curriculum.

Our history as in the greatness of our struggle against imperialism and partition or the watered down p.c try not to offend anyone version of our history

Will be indoctrinated into the rewritten version of history.. ie: we are a Country of immigrants, we have no culture, the Native Irish don't deserve a homeland..
