Distribute the spiced butter evenly over the entire surface of the dough. Fold, bringing the upper third of the dough rectangle towards you, then fold the lower third. Cut this rectangle into 12 3.5 × 11 cm strips. Cut each strip in half lengthwise, leaving one end intact. Twist, then wrap the twist around itself around your fingers. Tuck the ends under the knot of dough. Arrange the buns on 2 baking sheets lined with baking paper. Cover and let stand 30 minutes in a warm place.
