Balenciaga will present a collection via a video game 

With numerous brands getting creative and breaking away from the traditional show format, it is now Balenciaga's turn to dream up the fashion of tomorrow, via a video game. The date is set for December 6.

52 years after Cristóbal Balenciaga made the decision to exit the haute couture calendar, the house announced its big comeback a few months ago, setting up a dedicated team and workshop. Although the haute couture show was initially scheduled for  July, it is now slated for January. Balenciaga has also teased details of a brand new project, baptized, Afterworld : The Age of Tomorrow.

On December 6, at 12pm CET, the Parisian house will reveal the pieces from the Fall/Winter 2021-2022 collection, in an interactive and novel way - a video game designed for this season. The adventure game is set in 2031. With a critical view on the world that surrounds us, the proof was in the brand's apocalyptic-themed Fall/Winter 2020-2021 collection, Balenciaga will invite loyal fans to discover a near future via this video game, accessible from all devices. The game lays out a return to a healthier life, as well as a better balance between nature and the industries. Those that win the game, will be rewarded by becoming masters of two worlds, living in “real life” and discovering all of the digital utopia. The collection's inspirations have not yet been revealed.
