A Ferrari F8 Spider sustained extensive damage after a collision on Interstate 10 in Los Angeles. Instead of being towed, the driver was instructed by police to carefully drive the car off the freeway.
A Ferrari F8 Spider was involved in a serious accident on Interstate 10 in Los Angeles earlier this month. According to the driver, he swerved to avoid another vehicle, lost control, and collided with the concrete center divider. The impact caused significant damage to the car, including a smashed windshield, forced open hood, and both passenger-side tires dislodged.
Police officers who responded to the scene, instead of having the car towed, directed the driver to carefully maneuver the damaged Ferrari off the freeway and onto the nearest exit. Video footage captured the unusual sight of the supercar being driven away from the crash site despite its extensive damage.After exiting the Interstate, a closer look revealed the extent of the damage to the driver's side. The rear wheel was severely bent and mangled, the front bumper was smashed, and one headlight was knocked out of place. The airbags were also deployed as a result of the forceful impact. While some parts, such as bumpers and wheels, can likely be replaced, the damage to expensive components like the suspension and brakes could make the car a total loss. The driver will likely need to file a substantial claim with their insurance company
