A nurse working in a COVID-19 unit in a Toronto hospital issued stark video pleas for people to make, sew or buy supplies to help her and her colleagues cope with the growing COVID-19 pandemic.
“Me and my colleagues need your help. We are running out of supplies; sanitizer, gloves, masks, face shields,” she said in a Facebook post Tuesday. She used a homemade face shield she brought with her after taking a patient to the intensive care unit at 4 a.m., she said.“Like most hospitals we are working on conservation strategies to ensure the continued health and safety of our patients, people and community,” said Jennifer Stranges, spokeswoman for Unity Health Toronto, St.
Cane could not be reached, Tuesday. After National Post contacted the hospital, the video posts were removed. “Whatever you can spare, we need it. Our hospital’s the underdog and we have so many sick people,” Cane said in a later video. “It’s very discouraging. So anyone that can donate to St. Joe’s, really appreciate it.”
Cane had already been pumping her followers to help donate personal protective equipment to health-care providers. On Monday, she sent out a photo of a face shield asking if people had the ability to make them for the hospital’s use.
Medical worker have right to leave work because not protection supply no ventilators, not mask. For ignorance of leaders medical workers, and Canadian citizen have to pay by lost own life.
Ask JustinTrudeau about the PPE he sent to China in February.
I still can’t believe that our fool of a PM sent 13 tons of our medical supplies to of all places ....China!
Talk to Trudeau, the incompetent fool, he sent 16 tonnes of PPE to China in February knowing full well about COVID in December and January.
FFS. This is news? If she wasn't a 'bikini champ', it wouldn't be. Proof that what was trusted news is now anything that sells clicks and subscriptions.
We are supposed to be first world country! No adequate plan and preparation despite epidemic comes from December 2019! What a huge mismanagement
Blatant lies by JustinTrudeau. Our front line workers deserve better.
According to Trudeau, there is lots of PPE & the hospitals are horsing it getting ready for the worst scenario with the Covid-19. Trudeau is such an arrogant ass, he can’t admit that he was not ready for this & that he gave the Chinese 16 tonnes of our PPE.
They are not even overwhelmed with patients....all publicity, however it’s on its way for when it’s needed...would have been quicker except JustinTrudeau sent it over to China!!
This is not a surprise. For weeks various nurses have been threatened with disciplinary action if they use PPE due to shortages. For some odd reason the N Post doesn’t question Trudeau about this.
Heartbreaking ezralevant
This seems to be the theme in Quebec as well. I have friends working in hospitals there.
Apparently Ontario has been sharing supplies as well
Ask Trudeau. He gave it all away to China.
Shameful behavior from this nurse. Her ego needs to be stroked.
Ask Blackface
We have sooo much the PM Trudeau was GIVING IT AWAY A COUPLE WEEKS AGO this can’t be true...Trudeau would never do anything detrimental to Canadian lives just to pump up his faltering image and he’s not that stupid...is he?!!
But Navdeep Bains was on PnP earlier pretending there were no shortages and tha5 the supply chain was just fine. Even in the midst of a pandemic this government is still very blatantly lying to Canadians
Her employers are gonna be pissed
Remember, our Health Minister Christine Elliott assured us there was no rationing and that we had an adequate inventory.
Trudeau has failed Canada once again while most of the media has covered for him once again
