Cordingley has player personnel experience in the league. He was assistant GM of the Buffalo Bandits before signing on to coach the Warriors last June. He says he came to the Warriors because he still had the itch to coach. He was 103-83 in 10 regular seasons guiding the Calgary Roughnecks, the Toronto Rock and the Bandits, and won league championships with both Calgary and Toronto along the way.
The Warriors have struggled so far this season. They did seem to take a step or even two forward in a 16-11 road loss last Saturday to the San Diego Seals. Vancouver is young and inexperienced in goal and on defence. They have the makings of a top-notch offence, though, with the likes of Mitch Jones, Shawn Evans, Kyle Killen and Keegan Bal leading the way.
