My uncle spent years needing a lung transplant but refused to follow the program requirements necessary to make him eligible and ultimately did not get one. This man's story is sad but he is living with the consequences of his choice.

Hospitals do survivability analysis. Even if he got a transplant, his immune system will be too weak to defend against COVID and without shots, the chances are even lower. So of course they should use the organ for the one who is more likely to survive.

These rules are in place for a very good reason. The availability of organs is limited and all should sign up. Sadly there is a small group who have rescinded their organ donation or claim they will not donate because of Covid vaccines. They are very stubbornly misinformed.
