More than a dozen universities have said they are grieving students, faculty and researchers who were among the 176 people killed when the Ukraine International Airlines flight was mistakenly shot down near Tehran last Wednesday.
Now institutions throughout the country are planning a moment of silence at 1 p.m. Eastern Time, according to the industry association Universities Canada.Similar events have played out in cities across the country in the last week. Western University, in London, Ont., will host a memorial in the late afternoon to celebrate the lives of Hadis Hayatdavoudi, Milad Nahavandi, Ghazal Nourian, who were graduate students, and Sajedeh Saraeian, an incoming student.
"It's been a very tough week on campuses right across the country as so many people who perished have got connections to the university community," he said.
Sorry for the lost of lives is quite and unfortunate one I blame Canadian government for this silly mistake allowing the flight to fly over Iran knowing fully well that Iranians are having a very big conflict with the United States .

Stop with the deceit. The plane was shot down, it didn’t “crash.” And it was no accident.
That plane crashed? Funny, I thought Iran admitted to shooting it down.
Two missiles shot this Plane down the second missile 23 seconds after the first. This was a deliberate targeting! Prayers for the families and my condolences but this was targeted not a crash!
