Tyendinaga Mohawks given midnight deadline to clear rail blockade or face charges from OPP

TORONTO -- The Ontario Provincial Police have told Mohawk First Nations demonstrating at a railway in Tyendinaga, Ont. that they have until midnight to clear the rails, or they could face police investigation and charges, according to footage from Real Peoples Media.

The Mohawks of Tyendinaga have been demonstrating since Feb 6. in support of Wet’suwet’en hereditary chiefs in the wake of the B.C. RCMP enforcing an injunction in unceded Wet’suwet’en territory to allow Coastal GasLink workers to start construction on a pipeline that hereditary chiefs say they have not consented to.

Camps have been set up in Tyendinaga, near Belleville, Ont., that have blocked CN Rail passenger and freight trains. In the video the OPP officer clarified that “everything” included , “structures, vehicles, equipment, items, people,” and that they needed to be “cleared from the site by 11:59.” Tyendinaga Mohawk Kanenhariyo, whose English name is Seth LeFort, said in a press conference on Friday that they would not be letting trains pass through their territory until the Wet’suwet’en hereditary chiefs have confirmed that B.C. RCMP have left their lands.Supporters shake hands with protesters in Tyendinaga, near Belleville, Ont., on Saturday Feb.22, 2020, at the railway blockade in support of the Wet'suwet'en who oppose work on a pipeline in northern B.C.

In any other country, rebels disrupting the national railways would have been jailed long ago. But, sadly, we have the weak-kneed JustinTrudeau as P.M. For now, anyway.

They should have been arrested and removed from the rail blockades within minutes, not hours, not days, and definitely not weeks.

Face charges from the OPP, but this photo is taken in BC. 0/10 reporting job

Just do it!

Good

Push this into a nation wide Guerilla war to justify crushing a Sovereign Nation under a pipe-liner's boot When there was an alternate route The failing Pipeline is missing permits and facing bankruptcy so aimed at Healing lodge to strong-arm government into bailing the line out

Bet that will scare them .lololol

Bums

Throw the buns in jail and cut off the gas flow to thier homes since they dont want pipe lines on Gods land ...

About time the Mohawks were told to move. But I have doubts about police following through and removing them.

Trudeau - I'm gonna give you to the count of 5 to take down the barrier.... Or else... 5.....4.....3.....2.......1.....................ok how about $1M each...... Please?

Because the have to work in the morning.

20 billion dollar Sands project will be cancelled within the next two days. These green activists got what they want but they won’t be satisfied until the entire Canadian economy fails.

Good Stop pandering to self serving activists and show some respect for the Wet’suwet’en First Nations community itself

It will be interesting to see what these Mohawk criminals will do next. The following response will be determined by their actions.

Another rail blockade springs up in SaskatoonAnother rail-line protest has sprung up in Saskatoon today, even after Prime Minister Justin Trudeau ordered all blockades along transportation routes dismantled. No surprise. Trudeau is too busy trying to exploit this for his own gain to have any credibility and he still hasn't even bothered addressing the Wet’suwet’en First Nations community itself Sask is like Alberta it won't last long They're standing in solidarity with other idiots?
