Brandon Bobcats defeat UNBC Men’s Basketball team 116-93

The UNBC Timberwolves offense was good. The Brandon Bobcats offense was better. BU shot the lights out in the regular season finale, beating the TWolves 116-93 on Saturday, February 11th, 2023, in Brandon, Manitoba.

The Timberwolves settled down in the second quarter as buckets from Evgeny Baukin and Micah Jessie got the UNBC offense going, while Brandon’s offense continued to produce, though not at the historic rate of the opening quarter. BU star guard Jahmaal Gardner did hit a pair of big shots soon after, however, building the home team’s lead yet again, while Tsegakele watched from the bench with foul trouble.

Every time the TWolves looked to be seizing a bit of control, Brandon would make an incredibly difficult shot to keep the visitors at bay. After 30 minutes, the Bobcats were shooting 54% from long range, and held a 91-74 lead.

Opinion | Humans aren’t widgets, and Canadian workers are not in ‘short supply’Ultimately, the terminology of ‘labour shortage’ propagates an employer-centric vision. It portrays the economy as a machine — and human beings as just another input to that machine (like energy, raw materials, or widgets). Opinion by JimboStanford JimboStanford The economy is a system not a machine. Whether it's communist or free market or agorist system. Identifying that we are part of that system is not dehumanizing at all, it's acknowledging facts JimboStanford My understanding of economics is sub grade for sure, however I do respect workers. Thanks Mr.S. for sounding like you do too🫡. Your guest column appears to recognize labour as being key to wealth creation. truthmatters theninetyninepercent sharethewealth JimboStanford ...Human Beings...not Man Power...
