The condition is one in a list of demands sent to Ottawa.

Norm Moonias carries nine jugs to fill with reverse osmosis water every three days in Neskantaga First Nation in August 2019. The community has been under a boil-water advisory for 25 years.

Trudeau’s comments came when he was asked about the situation in Neskantaga First Nation, where an unknown contaminant in the water prompted officials to shut off the pipes earlier this week, leaving the community without running water and forcing a partial evacuation. He noted that roughly 90 long-term boil-water advisories have lifted since his government took power in 2015, but around 60 remain.

As it stands, about 230 residents of Neskantaga are staying in Thunder Bay, Ont. ― roughly 430 kilometres from home.

Casino money it’s right there in the pawns of your hands use it to fix these problems.

Did you know that 60M was invested in a reserves water system and all they had to do was make sure there was gas on the generators. They didn’t. Pipes froze and broke everything. Now they want another 60M and the government to fix it.

Why did they wait 25 years for the government to fix the problem when with a lot of effort it could have been fixed years ago.

First Nations reserves avoided first-wave crisis, but officials warn of troubling new surgeFirst Nations communities largely avoided deadly outbreaks in the pandemic’s first wave and only account for a tiny fraction of Canada’s total COVID-19 caseload, but officials warn that a recent trend of large, mask-free gatherings could change that. First Nation Under Boil Advisory For 25 Years Demands Clean Water'We are First Peoples living in third-world conditions treated as second-class citizens in a supposedly rich country.' Maybe a foreign country could send us aid money to fix it as Trudeau is not very interested in doing so. No question that if this happened in Oakville it would have been addressed in 25 days...not 25 years. But we'll just pester Ottawa until they give in and hand us millions of taxpayer funds...:(
